Founder of End Fossil Occupy Uganda, a climate justice movement advocating for fossil fuel phase-out and just transitions that center equity and fairness for communities most vulnerable to climate impacts.

With a degree in Land Economics from Kyambogo University, Nicholas has become a leading voice in global climate advocacy, representing Most Affected People and Areas (MAPA) at UNFCCC conferences (COP27,28 29 and 30), and co-organizing the Agape Earth Coalition, a united force of youth climate activists, NGOs, and grassroots movements. His work spans international policy advocacy (UNFCCC climate negotiations), community-level climate action (tree planting in 100+ schools), forest protection campaigns (Bugoma & Mabira forests), and opposition to extractive projects threatening African communities (East African Crude Oil Pipeline). Nicholas has participated in major international forums including the European Forum Alpbach and multiple UN climate conferences, bringing Global South perspectives to climate policy discussions. He is now Community Engagement Lead of Rolfes SDG Academy, leading global youth-led climate education and systems change initiatives. Nicholas leads community recruitment, ground truth, and ensures RSA stays connected to frontline realities.

Currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security through a joint program with the United Nations University (UNU-EHS), her work bridges the gap between academic research and international development policy. Her diverse background includes research on political (dis-)order at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), cross‑border cooperation with BORDA in Zambia, and rigorous academic studies spanning institutions in Germany, France, and Lithuania. A recognized Deutschlandstipendium and ASA scholarship recipient, she brings deep expertise in community‑based resilience, sustainable infrastructure, and awareness-based leadership to her work in climate adaptation and human security.

As Operations & Partnerships Coordinator for Rolfes SDG Academy, Abigail manages the operational infrastructure and institutional partnerships that enable RSA’s mission of democratising climate education and systems thinking for young leaders (18-35) worldwide.

Her work involves coordinating across university partners, managing relationships with NGOs and climate justice organisations, overseeing program logistics for RSA’s flagship initiatives (Solar Cohort, Global Youth Parliament, Expert Lecture Series), and ensuring seamless collaboration among RSA’s distributed international team. Based in Ghana and Germany with global reach, Abigail brings deep expertise in African development contexts, community engagement, institutional change management, and partnership development.

Her background spans non-profit operations, youth empowerment initiatives, and social impact coordination across West Africa, where she has worked with organizations focused on sustainable development, climate action, and youth leadership. Abigail is committed to ensuring that RSA’s operations center equity, sustainability, and authentic partnership models, rejecting extractive practices and championing collaborative approaches that honor the leadership and knowledge of Global South institutions and communities. She ensures that RSA’s institutional partnerships are built on mutual benefit, shared power, and genuine commitment to youth-led systems change.

With a strong academic foundation in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Project Management with a focus on Big Data, she brings a strategic, analytical, and people-centered approach to organizational growth and social impact.

Her professional journey spans diverse international sectors, including technology consultancy, education, and tourism marketing. Deeply committed to social justice, Rebeca has been actively involved in feminist activism and protest movements, advocating for equality, inclusion, and women’s rights. She is passionate about building efficient systems that empower teams and help organizations maximize their positive influence.

She trained and mentored the Ndejje Hope Initiative Club for the Inter-University Debate Season 5, strengthening competitive performance, argument strategy and adjudication readiness within British Parliamentary debating. She is actively engaged in policy advocacy, with interests rooted in governance reform, institutional accountability and youth participation in decision-making processes. Alongside this, she completed a civil engineering internship at the Engineering Development and Innovation Center (EDIC), gaining technical experience in surveying, structural design software, materials testing, safety systems and engineering project workflows. Her work reflects a distinctive blend of analytical rigor, strategic communication and leadership development across both technical and socio-political spaces.

Ratif Ssemujju is a Germany-based student, executive and entrepreneur. He serves as a board member at Malengo, where he contributes to building structured pathways that support high-potential African students in accessing and succeeding within European education systems.

Ratif is a Millennium Fellowship alumnus from Makerere University, and a 2024 fellow of FairTogether Fellowship. He also serves as a student representative within the Federation of Ugandans in Germany, supporting coordination and advocacy across the diaspora. Alongside his institutional roles, he is active as an entrepreneur and philanthropist across multiple initiatives in education, digital systems, and youth-focused development.
